Your cabinetry is built four miles from your kitchen
Plywood boxes, dovetailed solid maple drawers, soft-close hardware as standard and a finish sprayed in our own booth. Dagmar checks every reveal before anything goes on the truck, which is why our install weeks are quiet.

If your house already has red oak floors and trim, rift red oak cabinetry will read as original in a way white oak never quite does.

Cherry darkens dramatically in its first year. We show clients a sample that has been in a south window for six months so nobody is surprised.
North American ash

- Limed and wire-brushed finishes, contemporary slab doors
Ash gives you oak-scale grain at a lower cost. It takes a limed or cerused finish beautifully and reads far more contemporary than oak.

Before and after
A 1926 galley opened to the dining room
A closed 96 square foot galley with a doorway at each end became a single working room with a peninsula, a proper pantry and a window over the sink that had been boarded behind cabinets since the 1970s.

The things people ask at the sample bench

Sample ranges for our work: cabinet refacing from about $14,500, a small or galley kitchen from about $26,000, and a full remodel from about $48,000. Larger projects with structural changes, premium stone and integrated appliances commonly land between $75,000 and $120,000. Every number here is illustrative and gets replaced by a fixed price after a measured site visit.
A full remodel runs 9 to 12 weeks on site, with roughly 7 weeks without a working sink. Refacing is 8 to 12 days and the kitchen is usually usable in the evenings. Small kitchens run 6 to 9 weeks. Sample timing, confirmed in your contract schedule.
Almost no one does. On day one we set up a temporary kitchen in a nearby room with your fridge, microwave, kettle and a folding counter. We seal the work area with dust walls at every opening and run a negative-air machine so the rest of the house stays livable.
In our shop on Atwood Avenue in Madison. Plywood boxes, dovetailed solid-wood drawers, soft-close hardware, finished in our own spray booth. Nothing is drop-shipped from a catalog line with our name on the door.
The first consultation is free. If you move forward, we charge a design retainer that covers measured drawings, elevations, a 3D view and unlimited selection appointments. That retainer is credited in full against your contract when you sign. Sample figure: the retainer runs between $1,500 and $3,500 depending on scope.
Sample terms: a lifetime warranty on cabinetry we build, 5 years on installation workmanship, and manufacturer terms on appliances, stone and plumbing fixtures, which we register on your behalf. Exact terms are attached to your contract.
